Galanthus nivalis

A warm day and the snowdrops have opened. The daffodils are largely still in hiding. This will have to do for now.

  3. This is marvelous. Here I am with glaciers all around, and you with snowdrops. It actually makes winter seem that much easier to cope with, knowing spring is slowly wending its way north-east...

They are really ccute and tiny, Siri. Not much more than six inches tall.

  5. I agree, beautiful. My snowdrops started blooming almost a month ago. The ones in the sun, now the ones in the shade are starting so I have a long period of those pretty blooms. Buttercups are another story. I have one that looks like it will open soon.
