  1. Hey Chris, Wow! you sure are having an adventurous Winter in the Mountains. I think when you move into the cozy cabin you should do better. Anyway, if this Winter doesn't chase you off the Mountain, I think you will be ready for anything! Best wishes to you for a happy and WARM New year, Patrick

  2. Isn't it amazing how the sun can lift our spirits just as easily as it pushes up the thermals.

  4. Patrick I am not going anywhere, except to Maui for two weeks in March. I have been practicing my winter shoveling, sweeping and driving. I should feel lucky the three winters I have been here have built up to this.

Lisa it was an exceptionally lovely day covered in the finest powder snow that sparkled in the sunlight.

Yes Grace that was my thought. I was just headed out the door and thought I would hook it up to GGW's photo contest a bit later.

  6. I never would have thought tomato cages would have made such a fabulous image! lol

Maui in March sounds like heaven. I bet you'll be ready for it!

  7. I guess I really do have to enter this photo then Lola.

Sweetbay my thought is if I leave the cages where I grew the tomotoes it will be easier to remember where they were and rotate the crop. You bet I will be ready for Maui. Now I worry there will be an awful snow storm when I need to drive to and fly out of Knoxville.

  8. I love metal sculptures in the garden! ;^) Your photo is wonderful, an abstract study in black & white.

  9. that is a very nifty photo. Almost makes me think that I should have left my cages out in the garden instead of pulling them up.

    Good luck with the contest.

  10. Hiya chris,
I would love to see a picture of these cages in full summer swing. Could you put up a link for us?

  11. Ha ha MMGD. Metal sculpture. The real expensive kind.

healingmagichands if I had pulled the cages up they just would have ended up laying off to the side somewhere, so why bother.

Jo if this link works it is of the roadside vegetable garden in summer.

  15. Hiya Chris,

I'm glad your 'organized scribble-in- the snow' got recognition.
Thanks for putting up the link to the summer version. What a difference a bit of snow makes.
