Slowly but surely, even without the snow, the Lush is being pulled back into the earth. The undulating lay of the land becomes visible. I contemplate the plant based bone structure of the garden becoming from a half painted front porch.
Evergreens and dried grasses provide small points of interest in the vast barren of a deciduous forest.
Just rain. No snow. Winter has been put on hold.
I hope that a smoothing blanket of snow soon tames those dry tufts and leaves, to begin the compost-en-place in time for next Spring.
