Proof Of Crocus

Five more days to one fixed eyeball. Reading and seeing the computer screen has become close to painful. Wandering the gardens, it is hard to see what is waking up until they are well out of the ground.

The big picture is a colorful blur on rainy overcast days. I hope the pictures are good for you.

Some damn varmint ate more of the crocus. It has not been back since and there are plenty more popping out of the ground. It was not a total loss.

Planting more crocus is still the best bet to be sure there are enough to go around. They have been self-sowing rather well too. That is nice to kind of see.

The crocus were here.

And the daffodils have started to bloom in numbers. Now we can only hope that what's up next, a flash freeze with the coldest low of the winter, 10 degrees, doesn't wreak havoc on the stinze. Fingers crossed. I took pictures of Bulbhilla next door just in case, proof of perfect bulbs before the coming winter storm.
