Random Pictures From A Rainy Life

Rabbits, deer and groundhogs have been dining at the vacant Inn all year. There were some flowers left over. Some extra rain has helped.

A hillside of Cotoneaster dammeri 'Streib's Findling' and red hibiscus where it gets warm. The varmints dine regularly in the Almighty Falls too.

The funnel-web spider on a rainy day.

It has been raining every day on the mountain top. Any stroll that may happen is slow and wet.

Spikenard, Aralia racemosa.

Vacant inn??
You have that Aralia in the right place. I had mine in a more civilized place and am still rooting out the suckers.

Yes, vacant and the varmints are taking full advantage. The wedding business is closed and the Inn plus 50 acres of land is for sale. You can find it online at Sotheby's Realty.

Wow what a shame! After all that work on the water feature. Strange since weddings are going gangbusters this year apparently. Maybe they didn't survive covid.
