In A Hot Winter Drizzle

The winter under garden is now eleven years old. The plants are not all that age. The process of making the garden has been underway for that long. The colors come out best in winter drizzles. Click on a picture for the slide show and wander through a winter garden without snow.

WOW! It's really developed! A good learning experience as I couldn't see how they could grow while obscured in the summer. Clearly enough light is getting through.

Beverly, between the summer competition and the cruelties of winter at my elevation, the growing conditions I provide for the evergreens and conifers are sub-optimal. It very much shows in their growth rate and appearance compared to the same plants in other gardens. The skylights I do for them in the summer is the key to my modest success.
