And The Garden Bloomed On

There was a light freeze Thursday morning and a few things got frost bit, most notably my two rows of gorgeous looking potatoes. No real damage occurred though and the potatoes will likely branch out fine from the unfroze parts. The wild cultivated garden blooms on.

It is nice to be able to walk through a garden after work and not work in the garden.

Now mind you I can't help but notice a few things that need doing and it is habit now to pull Virgin's Bower, Snapweed and seedling trees as I stroll.

A new Camassia blooms in the annex.

The iris are gathering in numbers.

The Hyacinthoides hispanica continue on in quantities to numerous to quantify, but are slowly receding into the ever expanding lush.

A few rhododendrons are peaking.

I'm still hoping the main show will wait two more weeks.

The garden tour and cabin debut is going on as planned. It will be a fitting tribute to a man's life time passion of gardening and never ending list of building and remodel projects.

The garden will be what it will be. Something will be blooming without a doubt. My main chore for it is to weed whack the paths so it will be obvious how to stroll through the lush.

My main goal for the cabin is to have working plumbing without the waterfall emanating from beneath it. That project will start in the morning. Wish me luck. I won't know how bad or minor the troubles are until I have a look inside the insulated box that don't do much good without a heat source.

And when the day is winding down I will stroll through the wild cultivated garden to see what's new that's blooming.

A Happy Mothers Day to your mom.
It is hard to imagine frost there when it's so hot here. It is cool in the early A.M.
All your blooms are gorgeous as usual. There is beauty in every turn & it is natural to react with the pulling of some plants.

Hey, Chris, would that last pic be a good header or is there too much green in the pic?
