Late Stroll On A Wet Day

By the time I got home yesterday evening, the long stormy night had begun. It rained off and on all day up here I heard, while down below a token drizzle was all that fell.

The rain did stop this evening in time to go on a brief wet stroll.

Tomorrow I will take the day off and work in my own garden. I have plants to plant.

Tomorrow I will remove some 1 x 1 glass tiles and attempt to spin the shower head riser out of the cracked metal "T" in the shower so it can be replaced. Wish me luck. If it don't work the entire center section of that wall in the shower will have to come out.

The cozy cabin has been booked for late June and I need to have every thing in working order. I need to get a bedroom set up.

And I have promised myself I will move into Hale Mana on June 17th, the four year anniversary of my arrival on the low spot of a North Carolina mountain top.

I may need to give up my evening strolls and late night blogging to concentrate on my house. I still need play house time just to get stuffs organized in here, you know things in the right drawers and all.

Eh, whatever. Things will get done when they get done. There are only so many hours in the day and so much energy in this skinny body.

There is a garden to see that could use an extra hand at weeding. There is a garden to be that needs more plants and attention given to those already planted.

I deserve a stroll at the end of the day.

It's good for my mental well being.

Those Hostas are gorgeous. A little shower can't hurt. We need rain bad here. I have to water a lot.
It won't be long now till I have corn from the front garden. More bush beans will be coming in from there also.
Yes, you deserve a stroll even if it's wet.
I hope it doesn't come to having to take so much tile down to fix the problem.

Nothing like company coming to spur one into action. It will be so much fun to entertain in the CC. I hope your shower project goes smoothly. Have a wonderful productive weekend. Get those drawers straightened and you will feel so "together". That evening stroll is a must no doubt. Time to unwind. Big Hugs.

Chris,
What is the shrub in the next to last pic?
Sallysmom

Lola my corn and pole beans are just now germinating.

Lisa thank goodness the company is the sisters. They'll have to suffer through any imperfections.

Sallysmom the second to last picture is one of the pink/red flowered cultivars of a honeysuckle vine.

Can't you approach the shower from the back? What is behind it?

Anonymous what is behind the shower is the outside wall. Sure I could have gone through there. Instead of removing 2 - 6 x6 tiles and 9 - 1 x 1 tiles and the backer board beneath, I would have had to remove all the overlapping siding on that side of the house, then cut a hole through the plywood wall beneath the siding.

It no matter now. The leak is fixed and I can proceed to re-tile.
