Down on my Girders
I made major progress on the joists with only one slight error. There will be some unused metal fasteners attached to one girder under the cabin. Who knows, they may come in handy for the illegal vacation rental unit I can build down there.
It feels like things are really starting to grow around here.

Excellent work! How big is this cabin, anyway?
Bev, the cabin is 14x27 with a 7' covered front porch.
The joist are all finished, nailed in place as of today. The girders are now strapped to the cement columns. Next I will put a bonding beam or face board running the length of the cabin on the ends of all the joists joining them together. Then I will be ready to put down the floor.
First though I want to finish my mortar work on the columns so I can bury them and regrade around and under the cabin a bit. I won't be able to stand up at all under the cabin to move dirt once the floor is down.
