More Kind Daffodil

I am thinking things are peaking. New varieties are opening every day and I have seen the first faded Daffodils flowers.

The first open daffodil was seen on March the 7th. That is a few days short of a full month that many of these individual flowers have lasted.

That is pretty impressive for length of bloom.

It was another warmish day. Maybe not as warm as yesterday. Will the new Daffodils last as long in this heat wave?

Across the street the Daffodils have gone wild.

There is another wild patch three times this size down by the gas, hardware, bait and tackle, lotto, fish pond, grocery, U-haul, locust split rail and fried chicken stand.

Bulbarella still has more.

Our first ones are about done, depending on how much sun they get. The mid season are in full force, the lates are just now opening fully. Of all the bulbs, the daffs give the longest show, grape hyacinths next. Tulips are not as long lasting because the heat shortens their life, unless it remains cool longer, we cross our fingers for that. But you are probably ten or more degrees cooler on that mountain. Are your trees leafing out yet?

Thanks for leaving a comment Chrisss.

Frances, a few of the Maples have started blooming, not nearly all of them. There are a lot of Maples up here. I saw the first sign of the Peach wanting to bloom, but for the most part the trees are still in bud stage.
