All looks quite lovely in your garden. Even though you are in the mountains your flowers are a little ahead of our flowers in blooms. I really like the way the roses soften the barbed wire.

So glad to see the daylilies are growing on you. They want to grow and flower and will do so without any effort on your part, better with a little help. When is the roof getting lifted?

Hi Christopher,
The color of that second day lily is beautiful. I'm sure you never tire of that gorgeous sunset. Can't wait to see the rooftops on your cabin.

Christopher. Have enjoyed reading your blog. I'll be in Charleston in November for 3 days (on the ship) and was wondering if you were reasonably close...would love to touch base again. All at Sunday morning send "Alohas".

Lisa there are roses in pink and red all along that barb wire fence. Weeding them is on the list.

Frances I am going to have to put the Daylilies in the Hosta category of work horse plants. Common and durable so why try and avoid them.

Siria I will be so releaved when the roof is on the cabin. Only then will we know if it fits right. We measured and measured and measured and measured, so chances are good. Fingers crossed and praying. I'd say in about two weeks we will be ready to get the crane.

Well howdy Scott. Aloha to you and all. Charleston is about a six hour drive from here. I pass well outside of it on my way to Florida. It and Savannah are on my visit list. You can e-mail me at outsideclyde at gmail.com

Savannah is so incredibly fabulous it will blow your mind (have you been there before?)--somewhat more fabulous than Charleston, imo. Plan to spend a day walking the grid between Bay, Montgomery, Gaston, and Broad. And then you still need 2-3 hours for Bonaventure Cemetery, at least. Eat all the meals you can at Miss Wilke's Boarding House.

Stay at the hostel if you have to (which you can walk to from the bus station--long walk, but very do-able), but GO to Savannah.
