Finally

The Black-Eyed Susans are in full bloom high on the low spot.

A new color of zinnia has showed up.

The zinnias are giving me an oddly extraordinary amount of pleasure. Who knew such common and mundane flowers could be so much fun?

And behold the high spot of a small cabin was finally painted. So that's done.

Now I just need to paint the front and back porches, the stairs and one basement patio ceiling.

Zinnias are marvelous old fashioned plants. They bloom beautifully, make wonderful long lasting cut flowers. So colorful and cheerful. I am glad you are leaning towards liking them. The CC is looking mighty fine.

Since you don't have enough to do, how about a slide show showing the beginning of the cabin to the finished product ;)

I second Sallysmom - that would be awesome! Maybe a winter project!

A cabin construction slide show is definitely a project for a blizzard.

Love those Black Eyes. Mundane or not the zinnias are pretty. I've found them reliable.
The Cozy Cabin sure is looking finished & like it has been there always. Can't wait to see what you do with the patio. That is a great place.

Chris, it certainly would be a tribute to your dad.

I join the chorus and sing the praises of Zinnias. Mine have also given me much this summer.
