For a short drive
Where the rhododendrons are blooming.
One of the more unique is Rhododendron periclymenoides, a deciduous native azalea.
Plenty wildflowers in bloom like this Saxifraga michauxii.
It was a short drive.

I love the azalea. I don't think I have any of those. Maybe I need to walk through the woods, but I have to tell you I am afraid of bears. That curtails my flower hunts! The Mountain Laurel, which I assume is rhododendron is blooming here and it is beautiful. We have them every where we have woods.

A short drive but a beautiful one.
Sometimes all it takes is a short drive.
I love the parkway ~ short or long drive! There is always something gorgeous to see. You are so fortunate to have all this beauty at your doorstep!
