On Hiatus

My newly upgraded, new and improved, faster, with more down load allowance, Gen4 Hughes.net satellite internet service DOES NOT WORK and has not worked 90% of the time since last week. I have reached my limit of endurance.

Bloom Day is cancelled. Outside Clyde is on hiatus until the problem is fixed. Can you say dial-up speed? I need to take a nap before I call India again.

Good luck with Mumbai.

Having gone through that I have the solution. You need a new router. In the research I did, it recommended an ASUS RT-AC66U Dual Band 802.11 AC Gigabit Router. I believe I bought mine on Amazon. It's a little pricier than my old cheap routers but I got immediate relief. I have been telling all my friends that have gone to Gen 4 and it has solved their problems. I promise, I have not had to attempt to call India since I changed it out 9 months ago.

Yea good luck with Mumbai.

Dianne I don't have a router. I am direct connected to the computer. Their PR does say it enhances wired connections too. Maybe I need a router.

I have a router because I am wireless and my husband is hardwired. Neither of us could get any service. Now it is pretty good and we never use all our allowance. Do not get just any router. I had a N+Belkin when I was having all my problems. I am about as happy as I can get with satellite internet. Excede is supposed to be better, but you never know till you try it.
