A Day Of Siding

Strange, but true. It was 60 degrees today and no water was falling from the sky. This could mean only one thing, time to put on some more siding. The last time such an event occurred seems like ice ages ago.

I'm getting close to having one whole wall finished. I even think I will be able to do the left side of the back wall between the corner trim and the kitchen door before I go get the scaffolding again.

There are still the metal roofs for the porches to do and all the window trim and corner trim on the downhill side of the cabin before that siding can commence, but I'm getting there. Imagine how far along I might be if the weather had been cooperating.

The sunset may portend another day of siding ahead.

Wouldn't that be something.

Hi Christopher! WOW...it looks GREAT! You have really done a lot. I hate to think you will get that scaffolding and get up on it when no one else is around though. Please be careful...

WOW, that is fantastic. It looks so good. It's a shame the weather didn't cooperate better. Mother Nature does smile once in awhile.
Please be careful when you are up in the sky.

Excellent progress and it looks great! I am with Siria - skip a night of blogging and one of us will call 911! (although it would probably be too late, so just be careful!)

Spring is coming soon, praise be!

The siding looks great, Christopher! You sure sound better than when you thought you were going to freeze a few days ago. That post was too scary.

The cabin is looking good Christopher. That last photo is also wonderful. It looks like a painting.

It is so cool to watch this in progress. Reminds me of when my dad built our cottage on weekends. But it took him 20 years and it was never finished.

BTW, Christopher; not sure if you saw this about Wellsphere:

Hope the link comes through OK.

The cuteness factor increases with every bit of progress. I can't believe you're putting up siding all by yourself. That must be hard work.

What direction does the side wall in these pictures face?

Nice thought Jim. It's only taking me two years. Now the garden is another matter.

Bev, I read all kinds of pissed off health bloggers, but had not seen that one.

All by myself Chuck. Slowly and carefully. That full side wall along the driveway is a shady east facing wall. The forest blocks most of the morning light, then it gets full sun til the cabin begins to shade it.

Slow and steady wins the race, right? :) Glad to see your thaw is commencing nicely.
