Lilies always bloom early here due to our heat. What little rain we had in May ruined most of them. I am thinking that next spring if the weather is not more cooperative, I will just cut them off at ground level. It is so disappointing to see them brown and mushy.
Sallysmom a few of my new lilies planted last fall turned brown and failed to bloom. I left the stems to detach on their own hoping some food was getting to the bulb for next year and another try.
