
As long as the power stays on I'll be content enough and well fed.

There is a looming crisis though. The birds get extra piggy when it snows and I am on the last dregs of bird food. I wonder if they'll like Ramen noodles?

You made me wonder whether birds could eat ramen noodles. You used to see warnings that uncooked rice expanded when birds ate it but Snopes says that's false... guess Ramen wouldn't hurt them either.
Here's a homemade bird food site ... got any old cookie crumbs?

The new utility poles and thicker electric wire seem to have done the trick. The power has not gone out once since the new line was installed. Before it went out every couple of weeks.
I'll have to check out the homemade birdfeed site cause I am not giving up my cookies.
I don't mind being snowed in as long as I have power - otherwise it is not as much fun.
