Spring rushes on reaching the higher elevations in record time.
Jane I presume.
The Bulbapaloozathon is at peak ten days ahead of schedule.
A smorgasbord of daffodils wave in the warm summer breeze.
The first rhododendron, an early PJM, explodes into bloom. You can see how the wild cultivated garden gets its name.
Tulips too early. The soil temperature must be very warm.
Tiny fritillaria hide in the burgeoning Lush.
Red trilliums are back.
I don't think I have noticed this daffodil selection before. There are far too many kinds to keep track of.
An extended 10 degree cool down is headed this way. We can count that as good. These new lower temperatures are the high end of the ones that normally see this kind of activity. One can hope it might slow things down.

Will your mom be there in time to see any of the daffodils?
Sallysmom
We shall see Sallysmom. Tonight on the phone she was talking mutiny with the sisters delivering her and her car up here.
Great looking blooms. Sure hope your mom makes it before all is gone.
Lola even if mom misses the daffodils and minor bulbs next come the iris, bluebells, lilies and rhododendron. Once it gets going something is always blooming up here.
Beautiful!
Spring is whizzing by this year.
