April 1st

We are running late. This is one of the few decent looking clumps of blooming daffodils on the entire mountain. So many others, ready to bloom, were bent or froze. The rest are showing no signs of blooming, delayed by the weathers.

The chionodoxa are looking to have a very good year. They are starting to appear by the hundreds, sprinkled all over the mountain with several spots of high concentration. Bulbarella looks at them and says, I didn't plant those. Isn't this great.

Today was a warmish sort of spring day. That was it it. One day. Now back to the cold.

Janet I won't believe it is spring until we have three 60 degree days in a row.

My daff are about finished. Lots of things coming up. Warm enough to plant more.
