Cold Snap

I was not expecting to wake to snow. I was not expecting it to snow all morning. I was not expecting the snow to pile up. I was expecting that under the circumstances the well man would cancel his visit and the well head repair next door would have to wait for another day.

There will be water before Bulbarella arrives. Hot water gets iffier as days are lost. I went back to bed.

When I woke back up the sun was coming out and the snow was fading away. It was still below freezing. The day had wasted away.

The crocus however waste no opportunity with sunshine. They perk right back up and open just enough for entry in case any pollinators are about.

There is progress as the elements battle back and forth. It snows in the morning and melts in the afternoon. That is progress.
