So I acquired some new Viola pedata, Bird's Foot Violets, for the wild cultivated gardens today.
I know where there is a hillside covered with it. It did look a bit more sparse this year than last. Still, when you look at it from below which is the only way most people will, it is awash in purple.
I brought them home and planted them in full sun in the driest, crappiest soil I have. They seem to like that. Now multiply.
