There are many paths
And many views.
The same scene changes daily.
Flowers gone wild wander about.
We wander.
What is blooming today
Among towering rhododendron?
The Great Lawn is serene in comparison to the riot of color next door.
A mass of yellow iris. There is more to come.

Yep, you need some of those rhodies on your end of the garden. They are so striking this time of year.
Haven't read in awhile; just lovely! Are those the yellow flag iris? Do they like dry ground? I have some and am contemplating where to put them other than last year's spot in a pot in a pond. (I know they spread).
Lisa I got a few blooms on my baby rhodies this year. It will be some time before they are as big as the ones next door.
Yes Bev that is the Iris psuedocorus, Yellow Flag. My ground is pretty wet down there. I think in more normal soil, they will just be smaller.
I read your blog daily. Your gardens are becoming more wondrous each day! Thanks for sharing.
