It was full on sunny and a touch windy this afternoon so the pictures are not the best. I had an agenda and was on a roll. The pictures got taken in between tasks.
The Showy Orchis is in full bloom. As it matures, the bloom spikes can get twice this size.
One patch on the Dwarf Crested Iris has a decent amount of flowers. Others may still come.
On top of Moby Rock, a nice arrangement of sedum and phacelia. This is nature showing off.
The rhododendron show has begun.
It includes the rhododendrons called azaleas.
I may have acquired a few more Objets at the "Whole Bloomin' Thing" in Frog Level this morning. They were priced to sell. I did not hesitate.
That thing the dragonfly is carrying was found elsewhere, like in a dark, dirt floored basement. It had a former life.
I have been encountering more newly discovered camassia during rounds of editing. I sure hope they like it here and multiply. They're short, but they bloom when the Lush is still low.
Out there in the garden, the Great Lawn got its first haircut. I left the ring of crocus just to give the leaves more time to feed the bulbs. The first company doesn't arrive until next week Sunday. A full haircut and touch up will make the agenda before then.
Tomorrow I have another half mile of paths to whack.

I have never seen such dark camassia. Pretty. I like the way your lawn is looking.
It's getting more beautiful by the day!! I covet your Showy Orchis!
I love it.
