It Is Spring

All manner of life is returning to the mountain top.

A good number of things have been planted.

These columbine were the best thing I have found in the discard rack for a very long time.

I grabbed three.

Would you believe I am running out of room?

The cultivated plants are growing in numbers out there in the wild. In order for them to stay they have to remember they came from the wild and be able to fit in.

The wild in turn have thrived with a little cultivation. The Bloodroot is having a very good year.

The planted double Bloodroot faithfully returns. It has failed to multiply one iota in the last six years.

The trilliums are rising. This one is always too tall for its own good.

The Great Lawn stirs.

The Grape Hyacinth come after the crocus. I've added Winter Aconite and Anemones. I wait to see if they will proliferate.

Uvularia grandiflora has been a successful introduction. It came from the wild edges of suburbia.

The race to reproduce is on.

It is spring.
