Fall Color Has Arrived

The trees are turning. The leaves are falling. Fall color has arrived. The blue asters are having a massive bloom year. There would be more if the deer didn't eat them.

Farewell Miss Collar. I have been in North Carolina long enough for the full life of a cat. So long, it is time to sign up for Medicare.

Out in the sunshine and cool 60-degree breeze,

Fly away.

I've been away from your blog for awhile. I missed it and came back — just in time to read of your ordeal with and farewell to Miss Collar.
I am sorry for your loss, but it's clear she was loved and she loved you. That's what we all live for: to love and be loved. She and you did well by each other.
And — oh, yeah — your garden is lovelier than ever!

Thanks Daisy. Miss Collar had a very good life coming from unknown origins like she did. My mom's cat Solly, the other kitten that came out of the forest will be coming to live with us for the winter. There will doubtless be a period of adjustment at Hale Mana.
