In The Wild Cultivated Garden

It is rhododendron season.

With many supporting players.

And it is iris season backed up with the first round of wildflowers.

And it is the time of hostas.

Back to the rhododendron.

And a viburnum finally recovering from the Great Easter Freeze of '07'.

One of the big boys.

New iris in a new bed.

In the even more wildly cultivated sunny utility meadow, the seasons first wave of color appears.

Some of the supporting players are more discrete.

Some are a little bolder.

In the wild cultivated garden.

Oh my, that is more than fantastic. I love the maple in the first pic. Also in the 4th pic. is that the same tree with fence that you posted on once?
This looks like a fantastic yr for blooms of all kind.

I love the wild profusion you have - iris and rhodie time is the best! Up north, only my white i.cristata have started, but already it's looking like a good rhodie year!

Lola it is another good spring showing. I'm sure that big black locust tree has been in a picture before.

Cyndy wild profusion describes it well. Looks like we have many of the same things as you in central Connecticut.

Hi Christopher! What gorgeous pictures. Is it my imagination, or are some of the rhodos pruned in a tree form? Your kittie (is that Crawford?) looks like she is enjoying the garden stroll.
