His garden is an inspiration. His bottle tree is the best one I have ever seen. Now that is a bottle tree. He has found some interesting metal pieces for his garden. Love that big round thing. The manhole covers for pavers is brilliant.

Great garden ...it makes me smile! I love all the little trucks everywhere. I can just visualize all the "little people " in constant motion working on this garden.

He better watch out. If those are metal Tonka trucks, someone may "borrow" them. They are collectible.

Christopher's garden is very different from last year. Partly due to the loss of a very large maple in a winter storm and because it has also expanded. When the garden gets written up it mentions a lot that his intent is for the garden to be deliberately moody and dark. He favors reds and black flavored plants. This year there were red okra and sunflowers, perilla and more of the red Cotinus. I saw a fabulous Sumac with very finely dissected leaves and small deep black seed cones. I want me one.

Though he says the intent is moody and dark you cannot escape the childlike playfulness that shines through with all the objects, sculpture and plants that seem to be in constant motion. Here a gardener comes to play almost as much to garden.

oh oh oh, oh some more! How wonderful to see Christopher's garden again! It is as sinister as ever, with that playful touch! You were just a couple of blocks from Brokenbeats house. :-)

I agree with Lisa--best bottle tree ever! He's got a lot of interesting ideas. I hope you'll take us here again sometime.

Great trip Christopher. Love that natural bottle tree. Gees wish I had all my young'uns metal toys that he had when young. He had them all.
