I can't speak the voices that are rumbling through my head.
The title repeats itself to me
From out of the depths.
Turn to the flowers
Helianthus tuberosus
Hibiscus syriacus
Euonymus fortunei 'Crawford'
Phlox paniculata
In praise.

Amen... Crawford is the most gorgeous "bloom" of the garden.
You are truly a poet. I love reading your blog!

Yeah, I agree with Sallysmom, honestly Christopher; you need to assemble these as a book of essays or something, a la Henry Mitchell! The photos alone would make it a best-seller! (:

That's a very handsome cultivar of Euonymus! The words imperious and regal come to mind.
Euonymus fortunei 'Crawford' is my favorite too! :)
And I think it has been mentioned on comments to your blog before as well that you should assemble all your photos and essays into a book. I agree that it would be a best seller! You are a talented writer and your photographs are incredible. Then add to all that your construction skills and gardening knowledge and .... well, what could be better?!
Crawford is a handsome devil, Lisa.
Thankyou Sallysmom.
Bev and Siria thankyou for the vote of confidence. That I am afraid would have to be a project for another time, like when my house is done.
Cindy, he is really more of a ragamuffin, but I swear he has the softest fur I have ever felt on a cat.
Yaaaay for Crawford. My favorite.
Lovely flowers. I agree you should write a book.
Your title managed to make me have a few neural reconnections recalling required reading in high school freshman English.
