An Indian summer with dry sunny days and highs near 80 has coincided with the arrival of the first real push towards fall color. Beneath the turning forest is a fluffy ocean of blue that continues to gain in intensity.
A day like this just calls for a slow stroll around the mountain top to contemplate the thought of doing nothing.
The Dogwoods are now very red.
A Bosnian Pine, Pinus leucodermis was safely tucked into its new home yesterday.
The Sheffie Mum is in its prime.
The day was too perfect for work. So I drove slowly over the mountains and through the valleys to attend my second Soiree at Kalamazoo.

Very, very lovely. A forest of ethereal light.
Just beautiful! I love the picture of the cozy cabin through the trees. That Pine will definitely create shelter in the nakedness of winter!
Oh that blue, it's gorgeous. A leisure stroll would be divine on a lazy warm day. I can see how a person would not want to work on such a lovely day.
I to love the pic of the cozy cabin through the trees. The little pine will do great.
That Mark Pruett could be a relative. That was what my mothers maiden name was. Great music.
These are really pretty photos and it looks like a storybook, magical place.
