Steady Progress

On a frigid day.

The tiny electric heater was maintaining a comfortable 60 degrees inside the cozy cabin. I set the thermostat function at that temperature. Sixty is good. Even going in and out, in and out, cutting, sanding and staining trim, the solar assist today raised the temperature inside to 64. It stayed rather frigid outside.

The little gas furnace intended for the permanent heat source won't have any problem keeping the cabin nice and warm.

Look at that. There are cover plates on some switches and outlets.

Another window is trimmed. And look at that. There are cover plates on some switches and outlets. I'll be ready for lighting in no time. The back splash for the kitchen counter is the next likely process. The back splash is going to be Fasade thermoplastic panels in the Ripple pattern with the Brushed Nickel color.

It's like I am almost finished. It's kind of freaky.

Rained yesterday twice, turned cooler for today. I know it's much colder there. Glad the little heater is keeping you warm & toasty.
Plates look good & I love the back splash. It should be easy to keep clean, right!!!
Another window done, it sure is getting scary close for the move in. I know you are getting anxious. Will that happen {on occasion} when the lights come on?

Looking great. What ever will you do when you are finished? You will become bored. tee hee...

Hi Christopher! It sure is looking so good! I love the back splash you have chosen. You probably told us, but I forgot ~ what did you choose for a counter top? Stay warm and keep plugging away at the to do list. Before you know it, you will be done!

Lola when it is ready I will call for inspection and get an occupancy permit. With that in hand the electric company will turn on the power. The power will run the well and pilot light of the gas appliances and the cabin will become alive.

Lisa, sadly I will be forced to work full time and pay a small mortgage.

Siria the counter top will be the Wilsonart laminate in a finish called Jeweled Sapphire.

It's tremendously exciting.

60 is the lowest indoor temperature I can stand without getting cranky or crawling under the covers.

Chuck I stay bundled up in there at 60 degrees.
