A Walk In The Sunny Utility Meadow

Let's go up to the roadside first. I stopped to admire the chicory one morning.

The smoke from all the fires burning out west has been the absolute worst the last two days - so far. I have been seeing the smoke in the air for the last several weeks.

I have to stop and admire the chicory.

The western third of the North American continent is being incinerated bit by bit, year after year. The ripples from that will be powerful.

The thought of all that life being extinguished pains me. For some species it will probably mean extinction.

Enter the sunny utility meadow bursting with life. This is the slope behind the roadside vegetable garden.

Stop along the way.

To admire a fuchsia beebalm.

Welcome to Bulbarella's flower bowl.

It has a chimney.

Planted abundantly with flowers by Bulbarella

Tended and cared for by the invisible man.

The western third of the North American continent is being incinerated bit by bit, year after year.

To tend the earth and to garden is to build a living ark. We will be needing many gardens.
