Exactly...I think this arctic blast is going to be a big shock for our exposed plants...I will be replacing all the salvia and the rosemary for sure! We could have used a blanket of snow before the cold arrived! Sigh!

It will be bad down here too. Plants not used to such cold. Hope covering them up will help. Fear I may loose lots.

Hi Christopher, words of wisdom. Are you ready for what they say is coming? The only thing I can think to do here is move the rosemary topiary that is potted under the deck behind garbage cans. I hope they are wrong about what is coming, but fear they are not.

No kidding. It's been so warm for the past month that everything is acting like spring - I have later blooming daffodils with buds already (and that's the earliest I've ever seen them down here). Those guys definitely need to hide! My hydrangeas are leafing out - craziness. We're supposed to get down to the mid teens - so I'm guessing you guys will be really cold. I've got things to cover, but will probably loose a few things. Hope you and your gardens manage over the next week - stay warm yourself!

Hi Christopher! I just wanted to wish you well with the Spot family. I guess right now you are on your way back home from dropping them off. With this cold blast coming, it is good that they will be sheltered for the next few days. Maybe when they come home they might be inclined to stay indoors for another few days. (that might be wishful thinking)...
Stay warm!

I think most plants here should be fine. Very few of the bulbs are peaking up. None of the plants per se have broken dormancy. There isn't much I can do.

The well head and pipes will get attention though. Seven and five are the new reduced lows for Friday and Saturday.
