Another Day

Another day, the same image, the slightest difference.

Another day of hanging drywall and this part of the project is done.

I pause to look around and consider the next step and the next and the one after that and realize there are still a million steps left and countless details to come before the invitations are sent out. Even the ladder steps that will lead to the loft must be bought or built.

I consider too taking a week off when the building contractor heads south for the winter next week. There are some untraveled roads I want to drive down.

I vaguely see a shining light on the top of the hill.

But there is still a period of hard darkness that must be passed through.

What a wonderful party it will be.

Squaring the window in that arrow will be the absolute, inviolable rule for all future picture composition, huh?

I think you need that week off. Helps the brain to subconsciously cogitate on the finishing steps. Besides, you deserve it richly and if not now, when? (as they say).

Elizabeth I am thinking of an extended open house over the course of a year for guests to come stay with me. There can be BBG weekends throughout.

I don't know Chuck. You never know when an artistic fancy will strike.

Bev, I think I need a week off too. A real week off may have to wait until leaf raking season is over though and I just got a call for a front yard replanting - post remodel construction.
