The Other Cabinets

Morning light gave a hint of the weathers to come. Rain is on the way. Just rain, not snow.

The last trees were cut today. The cleanup and rubbish burning will wait until after the rain. There are a lot of rubbish piles to get rid of. That alone seems like a daunting amount of work, but the the hard part is done and I did not have to do it or pay for it. I can't complain and don't need to rush to get it done. Besides it's already a tidied mess.

Inside where I've been keeping busy, the other wall of cabinets in a galley style kitchen are near done. The unknown knobs will complete the finished look.

This side of the kitchen will have the clothes dryer in the back corner by the door and the stove in the space between the cabinets on the floor. The counter top will go right over the dryer. The big counter top depth, over the refrigerator cabinet under the window will stay on the floor next to the stove. I plan to raise it four and a half inches and cover it with the counter top also. I needed extra storage space and this became the best solution and created more counter top at the same time.

I am ready to begin the trim. Time to become a slow methodical finish carpenter for me.

Looking good. Seems everything will be so handy.
At least it won't snow.
