Things Changed Rather Quickly

Solly Kitty has been hibernating on the front porch in what is Collar's Safe House and Button's House of Horrors. It's a multi-purpose rabbit hutch. She is this tiny growling thing that three other beasts are trying to safely tiptoe by to get in and out of the house. Good thing is, Solly is standing her ground. She's not leaving.

This warm has pushed the Witch Hazels into bloom. The coming cold isn't going to be enough to stop them. There is more wet and warm ahead. They could be in full bloom by next week.

I wandered out in the still misty rain

Before a giant, hour long blue hole of sunshine passed overhead.

The clouds rolled back in low on a good strong wind.

Then a blizzard like blast of snow arrived.

The ground was covered white in less than ten minutes. The wind went to howling and the temperature disappeared.

Solly Kitty's hutch got another layer of insulation and another blanket inside. She has already been through colder than this without the food and luxury accommodations. She's not leaving. She's having a post blizzard sunny afternoon nap.

So far she has only peeked inside. I may have to give that a little test run this week. In the meantime, this warmer side of cold is a good thing for a fur covered sack of bones.

Awww, sweet Solly. My Witch hazels aren't beginning to bloom yet. Just buds. It has been warm here too. Crazy.

Solly's Bad Hair life might well be behind her. She's changed rather quickly from that photo you commented on that way.

Solly is definitely looking and feeling better. Her full acceptance into the pride is the next big step. Button has his own ideas about how that should work.
