Now Where Was I

Uncle Ernie keeps an eye out for company headed this way from Boston.

The Blue Wood Aster, Symphyotrichum cordifolium gains a foothold on disturbed ground. There will be a lot of this blue aster in view in the weeks to come.

Rented scaffolding was erected and one of the high sides of the cabin had the last pieces of plywood siding attached and it got wrapped before the company arrived.

Then a misty rain came.

Ooh, glad you got that done; isn't it a relief? Will siding be next spring? I had to get on that scaffolding to help my husband build a shed; I did NOT like it. Looks like you are getting some fall color on your road.

Progress, isn't it great. One more thing done to the humble abode. Yes, I was wondering also if the siding will have to wait till Spring. Hope not.
Gosh, just to stand in the middle of the road & look--so much beauty abounds.
Enjoy your company. You need a break.

The magnificence of fall and progress on your cabin all in the same week! That must make you very happy. It is looking so good. The beauty of your property never ceases to amaze me...the change of color and the wildflowers still in bloom!

From this angle the cabin reminds me of a boat, Christopher - guess it's docked in a very large green sea!

Uncle Ernie looks even cooler since the leaves changed to coordinate with him.

A good thing you aren't afraid of heights. It looks like you are way up there working on that scaffolding. The cabin is coming along quite good. When are you moving in?

The plan is to get the final framing inspection done before my building contractor leaves for the winter. Then I will put the siding on ASAP. I don't want it to be exposed like that all winter. Maybe it will be done and ready to move into next June/July. I hope.

Yes Annie, my little ship to weather the stormy seas ahead.

Lisa, let's just same I am very cautious with heights.
