The Conversion Of Water

A morning promise

Has turned into a winter storm warning predicting 3 to 5 inches of snow. About one so far.

Hi Christopher! Great picture of the rainbow. I hope the rains and wind weren't too bad. I hope tomorrow you will be able to get out in that snow. What is all the green on your patio? Is it bamboo?

Well the snow seems to be crapping out. It gets stuck at the Tennessee border a lot. Plenty of wind though.

Yes that is bamboo. It is a short, two feet tall variegated one. It was supposed to be a clumper, but has spresd. Maybe it was looking for more sun. Sorry I don't know the name of it.

I was going to say, "variegated bamboo?" but I don't have to.

We might get a little light rain tomorrow, but then it's supposed to warm up and be dry indefinitely. Argh!

Hi Christopher, one of these days we are going to see the sun. I know it's there behind all the clouds somewhere. May it shine its warming drying light on you soon.

Seeing bamboo and snow together seems a bit confusing. I always associate bamboo with warmer climates. That rainbow is gorgeous in the fog.

Sounds like you're kind of stuck up there on the beautiful mountain, Christopher - and being inside must be tough for you.

Isn't this the time of year when you mountain men get out the fiddles and dulcimers and banjos and sing to stay warm? The cats might be very entertained!

Chuck I know that feeling from twenty years of only getting real rain in the winter.

Frances I hope you survived the deluge intact. I know the sun will come out at some point. I'm just being impatient.

Lisa most bamboo is more tropical. There are fewer species that can tolerate the cold.

Annie that is a talent I do not possess. I need to get back to my story telling.
