A Long Time Coming

Passing final inspection and getting a certificate of occupancy, I don't need no stinkin' certificate of occupancy to move right on in. I'll get that certificate eventually. In the mean time I have a cozy cabin to furnish.

The little side chair was the hardest piece to settle on. There were a lot of good choices and each one had a comfort, pattern or fabric quality issue that had us saying let's keep looking. Finally a neutral chair - it's really a deep brown - appeared on the showroom floor. It works. We'll take it.

The small dining room table with two drop leafs to form a round table for intimate candlelight suppers was only a matter of finding the store where it was located.

It still looked so roomy after all the other pieces were in place, a small coffee table was added.

And a little cafe table for the basement patio that will live on the front porch until the ceiling down there gets painted.

It has been a long time coming.

And it coincides with beautiful warm weather and the arrival of the Bulbapaloozathon. It is here.

The minor bulbs like Chionodoxa are pooping up like little jewels on the forest floor by the hundreds.

'Rip Van Winkle' has awoken.

10,000 daffodils start to add vibrant color to a long brown world.

From stem to stern and top to bottom, the daffodils are here at last.

Joined by light blue Puschkinia.

The daffodil blooms swell in number.

The Mother of the WUD explains her wayward child and shows her own changing ways.

The crocus now bloom to completion before fading away.

The Bulbapaloozathon is here. Now this don't mean it won't snow again.

I love your choice of style in furniture. It all looks so good. Move in ready, I'm sure you can hardly wait.

How appropriate that you are ready to move in just as the new life also begins on the mountain. You're right; it has been a long time and a lot of labor coming - but it was worth it! Congrats on your new home.
And ps, it's weird but your bulbs are ahead of mine here on the coastal plain in Md. But I may catch up soon.

Your cozy cabin looks fantastic. I am glad the government has given its blessing. Your cabin is blooming with beautiful things and the outside is blooming with beautiful flowers. All is right with your world.
