Another World

My world as you may have guessed is about snow and more snow and then snow again. And why yes that is the next round of snow arriving over the horizon.

With a little tree clearing and a simple tow rope there is a great potential ski run in the back forty. I'll add that garden feature to the list. In the summer it could be another nice wildflower meadow.

But life goes on.

A world in miniature seems not to even notice it is partially encased in ice. It is just as green and perky as if it were the height of summer.

A window into another world where the geological processes go about their business at a pace unknown to mere mortals.

Doing strange serpentine things.

In another world.

Sure hope you Valentine Day was super.
That potential ski run sounds like a super wildflower meadow. If it happens do let us see.
That moss sure is pretty even though it is covered in ice & snow. It looks like the kind of moss that lives on rocks. Is it?
The pic of the on coming of more white stuff is a beaut. Love it.

Ice does strange things on your mountain, things unknown in more mundane parts of the world. Bendy icicles, striped like Czech glass, defy gravity. Jagged, frozen fog-fur infests innocent twigs....

Maybe your mountain is actually in another dimension. Or the normal laws of physics just don't function there. Maybe alien spaceships ... ray beams ... and normal water is turned into an unearthly substance with hitherto-unknown properties.

Three inches of snow for us tomorrow, even more for poor you.

Cool! That must be the big rock, a favorite feature out of many on your property. We cancelled the trip to Asheville due to the weather forecast. Not a good weekend for driving around the mountains, even on the interstates, let alone the back roads we take due to the rockslide. Maybe next week. Stay warm and safe. I like the idea of skiing down to the cozy cabin from the upper house. Maybe a sled could be rigged to send those building materials downhill. An Olympic event! :-)
