Splash

During the night the Fasade thermoplastic panels decided they wanted to be a counter top instead of being  attached to the wall, as in the double sided tape did not stick to the drywall worth a crap. I had to go to town for some polyurethane construction adhesive to convince the thermoplastic panels that their function was indeed as a back splash.

The stickage was better from the get go and one side of the kitchen is now complete..

That was the only splashing around here of late. Melting has pretty much halted. There is still plenty snow on the ground.

The baby Mugo Pines offer close up winter interest against the snow for now. One day they will offer a substantial green presence in winter. They are planted to mark the entrance of the garden to be that one day will become the garden Ku'ulei A'ina, much a like a small cabin is soon to be a home.

Christopher,
Glad the new glue worked better than the tape. Those panels look great! What kind of countertops you putting in?

You are so funny Christopher. Glad the glue worked better. What do you suppose was the reason they wanted to be the counter top? They look great.
Your little trees are looking superb. Yeah, one day they will be stately & tall.
Stay warm.

Randy the counter top will be a Wilsonart laminate 'Jeweled Sapphire'

Carol those thermoplastic panels should know better than to mess with a determined man like me.

Lola the directions said the glue was the preferred method. I just thought the tape would be easier and even bought the tape from the plastic panel people.

Siria it is coming together the way it was supposed to. Maybe all that aggravating shopping and looking at samples is paying off.

Christopher maybe your winter job could be as kitchen designer; you sure have good taste! Someone like me with no imagination could use that kind of talent.....
