10-11-12

A very orderly date and I am still surrounded by exuberant chaos. There was frost this morning on the mowed hillside of grass across the scenic byway, but there was no frost on me. My chaos may continue uninterrupted.

A grass in the fall unfrosted.

Some order is on the way. My baby shrubberies have been growing among the chaos.

The Oakleaf Hydrangeas that started as tiny rooted stem cuttings have grown a lot. The bamboo is getting much fatter. I am ready for taller.

On an orderly 10-11-12 after a scare of the first patchy frost, the low spot on a North Carolina mountaintop is still in abundant bloom.

An orderly date indeed. So happy that the frost didn't damage your beauty. I know it's coming. Those grasses sure get my attention. The little shrubbery will be fine. The Oak Leaf sure has grown. Hopefully we'll see blooms next yr.

Gosh, it is hard to believe that we have had several heavy frosts already and you haven't All of your asters, sheffies etc look their part in the season. Enjoy their exuberance while you can. Good to see your shrubettes making a statement.
