Yucca Snow

A terrible thing has occurred. The low this morning with four inches of snow still on the ground was 23 meager degrees. I have yet to feel compelled to don my long underwear. What is becoming of the tropical me?

With the slanted sun shining it was quite pleasant outside.

But I was inside continuing to assemble kitchen cabinets and placing the wall cabinets that will be hung first in their respective positions.

A kitchen is being born.

And the view outside was shining.

I love the green room and never tire of the pictures. You are making progress. Do you have a move in date? Sorry about the snow.

Siria it is almost shocking to see such quick transformations. I am really liking this season of the grass blooms too.

Sallysmom should I change the header again to grass?

Layanee let's pick April 1st 2011 for a move in date. I will be in there by the time the resident gardeners return in the spring. Then I can do a Garden Warming party for the planned May garden tour during the Rhododendron time.

Gorgeous pic of the grass with the snow & looking through the trees. It sure is pretty to see it that way. Sunshine in the winter is so nice.
I too never get tired of seeing your green room.
That sounds like a good date to move in. It's been a long time coming but sure is nice. It's all yours. Made with your hands.

Lola a spring move in will get me in there in just under FOUR YEARS! Not what I had in mind in the beginning, but like you said, it was all made by my hands.

I don't think much of anything is ever what we have in our minds when anything is started, but think of what we've learned & experienced on our road to that end. We can only start with a dream & hope all comes out close to that dream.
I, for one, am very proud of what you have accomplished in such a short time. Well done my friend.

The cosy cabin seems to be coming together very fast. You might not make the official move until 1st April but I bet you will spend some nights there in the winter just to try it out. It is fun watching it all happening.

Hi, Chris. I've been following your blog for a bit and find your bathroom tile pics to be interesting. I love the wall colors you've chosen for your cozy cabin. So, I'm making a blog introduction to a young couple in OH who could probably use your advice: http://thecommonmilkweed.blogspot.com/
