My House

Ten years ago this spring, the cozy cabin my father and I built was ready for final inspection. It is a solid little house that has weathered the world and vibrated through countless earthquakes and loads of laundry. My house deserves a fresh coat of paint for being so solid.

Ten years later what has it become? Let's go for an inspection. Consider this an early spring house and garden tour. Click on a picture for the slide show. The crocus are out.

Love the house and the surroundings. You are lucky to not have neighbors around you with ugly yards and a million cars parked all over the place.

Phillip I may not have close neighbors and a million cars parked out front, but I get a whole lot more traffic than a residential street, traffic that includes loud motorcycle and car rallies.

Spring has definitely sprung in your little corner of the world. Are you painting the same color?

Lisa I am contemplating a slightly darker grey body and new window trim color. When it might happen is a big mystery.

Good morning Christopher: Hope you are well. I've been busy spreading wood chips and doing my Mom's taxes. Don't know which was more exhausting. Are you going to paint the cozy cabin a different color or paint it the existing color? I like your collection of electric/phone conductors. I use them in my garden as hose guards and mounted on old solar light posts. The turquoise is especially beautiful when the light catches them. Especially on a sunny day. Warm regards, Gypsy

Ooops, just saw your response to Lisa regarding the darker grey. I either need new glasses or another cup of coffee. Gypsy

Ick. Taxes. I need to do mine. Yes I'm sticking with the same basic color scheme with minor adjustments. Today I will be cleaning my mother's house next door and turning it back on for her arrival next weekend. I have seven pallets of mulch I will be spreading in client's gardens in the next few weeks.
