Apple Blossom Time

Historically WNC has been a noted apple growing region.

Apple trees are all over the place. Apple orchards may be fewer than in days gone by, but they can still be found.

While driving up a mountain holler in search of client #4, I passed a relatively newly planted apple orchard coming into bloom.

There are so many nooks and crannies in these mountains the chances of me ever seeing it all is close to impossible without a concerted effort I have no intention of making.

More will be revealed in a natural unfolding as I become ever more familiar with a place called home.

Wow...I think this post just got posted as I was checking out what was new here! Those apple blossoms are lovely and especially the entire orchard in bloom. I hope this means you have a new client you were on your way to see.

One of my favorite things to do is to get out and explore all those country roads that look so inviting. You are right though...there is so much to see that it would take a very long time to check it all out!

The apple blossoms are a welcome sight. And the smell is something else. There use to be quite a few orchards around Waynesville. It's a treat to go pick the fruit yourself.

Sure hope this is a good client for you.
Yes, it would take a long time to see it all. We drove around for yrs. {while camping, then owning} looking & didn't even touch the surface. Sure would like to do it now.

Yes, it is indeed apple blossom time. I love how the buds are a soft pink before opening to white. Your photo is dazzling. And the sunset photo is worthy of the blue ribbon.

Our poor little old apple tree is blooming now too. The blossoms are so pretty. Cool pictures.

Siria, I do like exploring and take the back or side roads often enough when I do come off this mountain which may not be often enough. The new client is definitely in the right neighborhood. Small job, but it is a foot in the door.

Lola, I remember a lot more orchards from when I was a kid coming up here. There are about a dozen tree on this land that could use some TLC. It's on the list.

Grace they grow a lot of apples in your neck of the woods don't they? I don't deserve much credit for all these gorgeous sunset pictures. I'm just lucky enough to be there at the right time.

Lisa, our big older trees are budding out. Some of the wild seedlings across the fence are in full bloom and we had a half an inch of snow last night.
