What a lovely home. I bet that there was a lot of love in that house. Gardens must have been abundant.

There's no place like home Dorothy...
I got a little misty a few blogs back when you talked about getting familiar with this new place called home. I can't wait to see your new paradise...the pictures are stunning.

If you have not done so already, visit this post of Linda's for more of the same. I thought it was way cool.

Interesting, the different reactions to this post. For me it related to my fear that I am building an abandoned house. For some reason cutting holes through the floor for the plumbing has been painful, like I'm wrecking the cozy cabin.

Les I have seen those Detroit abandoned houses/neighborhoods before. Somehow that urban feel makes it creepier than these old farmhouses which can be quaint and picturesque. Still it is such a same to see such grand homes in Detroit looking so sad.
