The Dahlia

Thomas A. Edison is really a deep almost black purple. The camera won't pick it up.

It lives with the wild things and the going wild things in a tall flower meadow becoming.

Beautiful Dahlia. I am going to have to try them again.

The dahlias are definitely worth trying. They just aren't worth digging the tubers for winter storage. Most years they will be fine and return. Some years they won't.

I had some for a couple of years, and I just don't dig bulbs. My excuse is that I have way too much else to do.
They did not return last year.

Beautiful. My Dahlia is blooming now also. It's a dark red. I have it in a pot so as not to loose it. It stays there the yr around. Another bulb is on my list.

I haven't planted any dahlias here....some could winter over here I am sure. Maybe if I could figure out where to plant one. Yours is certainly a great color!
