The sky let loose at noon. Buckets of rain descended from the heavens.
Napping was only partially successful as thick rain drops ricocheted off a metal roof.
Is this the calm before the snow? A tiny spot of sunshine before night fell.
It's the end of the hemlocks as we know it. They began falling in earnest a few weeks ago. Today's winds moved things along and the real wind in the diagnosis has yet to arrive. It's coming in with the cold.
What will the world look like in the morning? Will it still be here or covered in a layer of frozen ash?
All I know is I won't be working tomorrow. I'll decide what I want to do for the end of the world when I get up in the morning.

Please, Please no snow...Time for me to make my Christmas journey to visit the little ones. The wind is a-rockin on this side of the mountain. I think the white stuff is supposed to start about 2am. I planning on being here tomorrow. But the day after, we are Texas bound!
The rains have been here. Looks like more to come. They say 29 by Sat. morn. Sure wish this sinus/cold would go away. Need to cover my citrus bushes for then.
Stay warm.
Dianne the snows have begun here at 9:30 pm. Not much wind yet. They aren't calling for much.
Lola citrus can take a brief 29 degrees without too much trouble. I know the ones at mom's house in Orange Park never get covered. She is on the river though so that helps.
