It's Springing

The suggested snow for last night was a no show. I'm good with that.

We are actually looking at a spell of cool, DRY and sunny weathers ahead. All this sunshine is freaking me out.

It will be cool and cold enough that the bulbs won't bolt. That slows the bloom process down which is a good thing. Makes for a longer show.

I discovered some crocus I forgot I planted. That is a hazard with bulbs and a fun spring surprise. Showing up in a well considered location is a good indication that I was the one who did it.

The witch hazels are having a mighty fine week. The weather is so nice the pollinators are out. One of the witches could set seed.

The crocus around the fire pit have woken up.

This year the three Hamamelis x intermedia witch hazel cultivars are all blooming together. The steady bout of winter held back the early bloomers.

In the sunshine

Of early spring.

It looks like your garden is greening up quite nice. Love the witches. My early crocus are blooming up a storm. Had our first bee yesterday. Spring is on its way for sure.
