Little Hunters

It's a jungle out there. It's a pesticide free jungle full of grasses and forbs, fruits and nuts, everything needed for bountiful life. Some of that life needs to be kept at bay.

The little hunters are spending more time outside each day. They get lots of practice inside with their stuffed mouse toys. They show some real natural talent.

I think Ms. Dinah may have been the runt of the litter. The size difference between her and her brother gets more noticeable everyday. She's a feisty thing though and full of energy.

Little Button is already looking like he could turn into a pretty big cat.

So far we have not found any real mices to chase while outside. They are starting off slow with ants and other bugs and some training exercises. The mice that were living in Bulbarella's Mouse Motel on the deck have moved out. I think they may have smelled a cat once too often.

It's a jungle out there, slowly becoming a garden with some structure and more permanent negative space. The garden will be pesticide free and full of grasses and forbs, fruits and nuts, everything needed for bountiful life.

Some of that life needs to be kept at bay

The kids are cute. It is good to see them growing up so full of life. They have the best playground.

Buttons and Dina are beautiful kitties. I am so glad that you got them. Notice, I have a new keyboard.

Ms. Dinah looks a little skittish, but Little Button looks like he is ready to tackle the world.

What a great playground for the kitties. They will learn quickly.

Do the kittens stay at your place or roam between the two gardens? Do you bring them in at night? We had a kitty and she was an inside cat. I don't know if I could leave a cat outside after seeing fox poop in the driveway (or is it coyote??)
Your kittens are really cute.

Janet right now the kitties stay inside at my mom's house and go out on supervised excursions. They are in at night.

It is most likely that Crawford's disappearance during the weekend of the Fling, the reason for new kitties, is because he became the hunted. That is a real issue up here. We have it all. I saw my first bear on the way to work this morning.

I was hoping Miss Collar would take to the new kitties and show them the ropes like she learned from her mama growing up outside and half wild. Collar tolerates the new kitties.
