White Crocus With Flurries

It began to snow as I headed to work. Generally the way it works, it will only be snowing up top, on me. And so it was. A cold sunny day was spent shoveling wet top soil into an expansion of a vegetable garden.

There was no snow when I got home. It had stuck for a bit early on. The flurries mixed with sunshine continued on a sharp brisk wind.

I wandered quickly out in the cold to see the crocus.

White crocus have arrived.

The cold wind and flurries will linger. The crocus will be ready to open fully on a more favorable day.

Lola spring may be a bit late this year. Better than a warm spell with damaging late freezes.

Mahalo Nalani. Come visit.
